Exploring Red Rocks & Garden of the Gods

My dad and his wife were in town visiting last week. We decided to explore some of CO. The weather was overcast, mildly cold with scattered showers. We stayed close on the front range and checked out some of the near-by scenery.

Red Rocks Amphitheater is an outdoor amphitheater set in a gorgeous, natural red rock hill side. It’s open to the public year round when there aren’t any events going on.

After leaving Red Rocks we headed to Lookout Mountain and Buffalo Bills Grave.

After, we went to Golden, CO where we walked around, they grabbed frozen yogurt and then we visited some shops.

The next day we headed to Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs. A free, open to the public, natural park. It’s gorgeous.
