Ahhh, my anxieties are through the roof this month. I don’t know why or how to calm them I just know they’re here and real and they suck.
Trip departure is in 14 days. Two weeks from this moment I’ll be somewhere high over the Earth, flying to Dubai.
This years itinerary involves a flight from Denver to Seattle to Dubai to Uganda. Over 20 hours of flying.
I’m nervous this year. I’m excited. But nervous. Nervous about the travel, about getting sick, about leaving Ben and the dogs behind, about Copper. Always nervous about leaving my boy Copper. Hate being away from him. Nervous about job stuff, worried about taking two weeks from work, worried about the millions of things that can go wrong while I’m across the world.
I previously asked for donations but do you know what I need more than anything else? I need prayers.
Committing to a volunteer mission trip requires so much prep it’s exhausting. And then when the trip arrives, it’s exhausting. Physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
I could really use your prayers. If you’re praying for me through this time, I’d love to know. Drop me a comment here or send me an email.
God’s been answering mine thus far and I know I have parents who have been praying for me, too. For example– an answered prayer: I’m funded. Nearly 100% now. How amazing is that? A couple weeks ago I was at 72% and now I’m at 96%. I have less than $150 left to pay….. just incredible. Mind blowingly thankful.
I sure prayed hard this year for the funding to come. And it did.
Now, I’ll just working on praying for these anxieties to cease….
God is good. All the time.
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.””
