Emery Turned 3

Our sweet girl turned 3 a few weeks ago. To capture the fleeting time we scheduled a green house photo shoot in March. I can’t believe she is 3! It was freezing cold with snow everywhere in Alaska that day but the green house was SO warm!

Emery is incredibly smart and gifted. She has some type of photographic memory, and is constantly shocking us with her conversation abilities. She is incredibly social and makes friends everywhere we go. She loves her dogs, building things, pretending to “work”, animals of all types (her animals are her “babies”), being outside and taking trips. She is still very much a young 3 year old and prefers to have mom’s help with everything pretty often. We are in no rush for her to grow up and be too independent— so that’s okay!

For her birthday weekend we went to Seward and stayed in the smallest cabin 🥴, visited the beach and took her to the aquarium. We managed to bake her a cake in the tiniest little oven and only overcooked it a little 😂. It was a really nice weekend with our best gal. We can’t believe she won’t be our only one much longer!

I will always look back at our time in Alaska with Emery and be grateful for the time we did actually get to explore a little. Alaska’s wildness and beauty is unmatched. It was so hard living there full time, but I know why people do. It’s a really amazing place. I will just take it in very small doses from here on out 😂 I’ll share more from our time there at some point. Before I got pregnant again we did have some grand adventures with our sweet Emery!
